bettiah, April 6 -- Police on Sunday recovered a pistol and few cartridge from the premises of a madrasa in East Champaran district of Bihar, officials said. Three persons, including a cleric of the madrasa located in Govindara locality, have been detained for questioning, superintendent of police (SP) Swarn Prabhat said. The madrasa, which had earlier shot to limelight with the arrest of a Popular Front of India (PFI) operative Yakub alias Sultan alias Usman, was also sealed. The district police had constituted a special investigation team (SIT) and raided the madrasa based on specific inputs, the SP said. "Police recovered a pistol and live cartridges during the raid and three men, including the caretaker of the madrasa, have been taken into custody. They are being interrogated in this connection," said the SP....
