PATNA, July 14 -- Educator Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir on Monday granted anticipatory bail by the district and session judge Rupesh Deo in the case related to firing outside his coaching centre. His three associates were granted similar relief while his two security guards -- Pradeep Kumar and Talewar Singh -- were given regular bail. An FIR was lodged with Kadamkuan police station under section 109 of the BNS and section 25 (9), 27 and 35 of the Arms Act on the basis of statement of sub-inspector Anil Kumar against Khan and his guards were named in the FIR in connection with the firing. Two anticipatory bail pleas were filed in which one for Khan sir and the second was filed for his three staff Ankit Kumar Pandey, Ajit Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar while the regular bail was filed for his two security guards. Arvind Kumar Mouar, counsel for Khan Sir and his three other associates, argued that the allegation against Khan and his associates is baseless. "The video in question shows that the guards fired in the air. Had there been any intention to kill, they would have targeted the group of persons gathered there. thus, it indicates that the act was done in self-defence in response to a prior incident," he added. He said that evidence against Khan and his associates are inadmissible. The incident occurred due to business rivalry with one Raushan Anand, who runs a coaching institute named Gyan Bindu. Meanwhile, trouble had started for Faisal Khan, owner of Khan global studies (KGS) after an FIR was lodged with Kadankuan police station in connection with attempt to murder and Arms Act. His two guards were arrested on June 4 charge of firing at the gate of his institute located at Mussalahpur Hatt area under Kadamkuan police station on June 2 night. Faisal Khan's name was added in the FIR after one of his guards allegedly told the police that they had fired on the direction of Faisal Khan. The FIR was lodged on the basis of assistant sub-inspector Anil Kumar posted at the Kadamkuan police station against Faisal Khan under section 109 of the BNS and 25/27 and 35 of the Arms Act. His name was added in the FIR after his two guards during interrogation told the police that he instructed them to fire and he would handle the rest. The guards admitted that they had two- each rounds. Faisal Khan said in his video that his guard had fired for self-defense. Regarding the video, he said that there was a fight going on. "I knew that the police would take time to arrive. So we fired in self-defense," he said.
