BUXAR, Feb. 26 -- A bride in Buxar district of Bihar was on late Tuesday shot at by a stalker who was allegedly in love with her while she was at the bridal stage to exchange wedding garlands with her spouse. She is going treatment at Varanasi and according to the police, she is out of danger. The Buxar SP Shubham Arya said while informing of the incident, "... A wedding was being held last night, and the bride and groom were on stage. A known man approached and fired a gunshot. She (the bride) was hit near the stomach... She is undergoing treatment in Varanasi. Her condition is currently stable, and the police have inspected the entire scene. The FSL team has collected evidence, and the search for the person involved will continue. A few other individuals have also been detained and are being interrogated..." The stalker who had managed to flee from the spot was later arrested, the Buxar SP Shubham Arya said. According to locals and a viral video, the incident occured when the ritual of "jaimala" was being performed in the late evening of Tuesday at Mallah Tola under Chausa Nagar panchayat situated under Buxar Muffasil police station. The victim was identified as 18 years old Aarti Kumari, daughter of Nandji Mallah of Mallah Tola. The family members of victim claimed that a youth who was a neighbour and was in one-sided love affair was the culprit. The girl identified him as her neighbour named Deenbandhu -- as the culprit. He was nabbed after police raided several places....
