JD(U) lodges complaint against PK ahead of Bankipur bypoll
PATNA, July 30 -- JD(U) chief spokesperson and MLC, Neeraj Kumar on Wednesday lodged a complaint in Shastrinagar police station here against Jan Suraaj party chief Prashant Kishor for allegedly spreading misinformation and making derogatory remarks against former chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Neeraj said he lodged a complaint with Shastrinagar police demanded registration of FIR against Kishor as he spread misinformation and made derogatory remarks against Nitish Kumar. "Without evidence, Kishor has attacked on Nitish Kumar's credibility and personal dignity," Neeraj said, adding he wanted strict action against the JSP chief, who is contesting the bypoll on July 30.
The JSP functionaries did not react to the complaint against Kishor. "We will not give any comment on it," said party's spokesperson Om Prakash, when contacted.
The controversy started on Monday after a video message was released in which Nitish appealed to voters of Bankipur to support BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha. In the video, shared by the JD(U) in its various social media platforms, the former CM also highlighted the alliance government's achievement over past two decades.
However, Kishor dubbed the video as "AI generated" and deepfake, stating the clip was edited and created using artificial intelligence tools. He also claimed that Nitish Kumar had not recorded the statement, while accusing the BJP of using all tricks before the by-poll....
