PATNA, Oct. 3 -- As the feud between Mokama MLA Anant Singh and senior party leader Neeraj Kumar, who is a candidate in the ongoing Legislative Council elections, continued, Janata Dal (United)'s working president Sanjay Jha said on Friday that senior party leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh had been entrusted with the task of helping the two leaders bury the hatchet. The difference between the two leaders became public when Anant Singh accompanied a Suraaj Party candidate Anuj Singh, to file nomination papers for the same seat where Neeraj is the JD(U) candidate. Singh also claimed he was settling personal scores against Neeraj by supporting his rival. "The matter is under the party's consideration. The area also includes part of the Munger Lok Sabha constituency, which Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh represents. We have spoken to him and entrusted him with the responsibility of resolving it," Jha said. Jha said that the Mokama MLA also has certain issues related to the Assembly election in the past and Lalan Singh would be able to resolve it taking all factors into consideration. The JD(U) working president's remark came a day after a closed-door brainstorming session with senior party leaders at the residence of party president Nitish Kumar. Lalan Singh has also been in his constituency for the last couple of days and on Friday he posted a photograph participating in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Lakhisarai. "The matter will be resolved now that it has been left to him," said a party leader, who did not want to be quoted. Anant Singh and Neeraj Kumar faced each other in the 2015 assembly election. While Singh fought as an independent candidate and Neeraj Kumar was the JD(U) candidate. Singh, however, won the seat comfortably. JD(U) has fielded three-term MLC Neeraj Kumar from the Patna graduate seat, but Anant Singh's revolting stance and his open backing of Anuj Singh have made the party uncomfortable, pointing to an inner rift that also reeks of involvement from two factions....
