Jamshedpur, March 31 -- Six persons have been arrested in connection with the murderous attack on a 20-year-old youth near Telco theme park under the Telco police station (PS) on March 24 late evening in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur city, police said on Monday. "The Jamshedpur senior superintendent of police (SSP) Piyush Pandey had formed a SIT headed by city DSP Sunil Kumar Choudhary. The SIT arrested 20-year-old Abdul Maroof and 23-year-old Abdul Rahman on that very day and sent to the judicial custody. During interrogation, they revealed the involvement of four more accused, including the main accused Mohammad Ayan. Based on thevduo's confessional statement, remaining accused 19-year-old Mohammad Ayan, 20-year-old Mohammad Fardeen Khan, 21-year-old Mohammad Shahid alias Shaid and 21-year-old Mohd Faiz Raja alias Faizu, all residents near Golmuri Mosque, have been now arrested in connection with the attack on 20-year-old Adarsh Kumar Singh on March 24 late evening," Kumar Shivashish, Jamshedpur city SP, said on Monday. DSP Sunil Choudhary said Ayan had previous criminal records and has been to jail on few occasions earlier too. "The blood stained butcher's knife and Ayan's shirt, two mobile phones and the scooty used in the crime have been recovered.
