RANCHI, July 25 -- The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Jharkhand on Friday arrested three employees of a private firm in a major breakthrough in its investigation into alleged irregularities in competitive examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). The agency had registered a case on Wednesday. The arrested employees belong to the private firm, TDPL (TSR Data Processing Private Limited). They have been identified as Hemant Verma, Pradeep Kumar Singh, and Sanjay Kumar. "Acting on actionable intelligence, the CID team, in close coordination with the Ranchi Police, conducted strategic raids at two prominent hotels across different police station jurisdictions in Ranchi to secure these arrests," a release from the CID said. Furthermore, the department confirmed that five accused individuals previously arrested in connection with this case have been remanded to police custody for five days to facilitate deeper interrogation. To ensure a comprehensive and professional probe into the paper leak and examination malpractices, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formally constituted. The CID stated that the investigation is progressing rapidly, and further legal actions will be strictly initiated based on the evidence gathered by the team.
