INDIA bloc leaders stage protest against SIR, CEC
PATNA, Oct. 8 -- The Opposition RJD and other partners of the INDIA bloc on Wednesday took out Aakrosh march at all the block headquarters to protest the alleged manipulation in the electoral rolls though ongoing nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar even as similar protests in New Delhi in the leadership of the Congress turned into a high-voltage political drama.
In Patna, RJD leaders and workers took out a protest march against SIR from the state party office at Beer Chand Patel Marg which culminated at Income Tax roundabout where the RJD leaders burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Union home minister Amit Shah and CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
RJD state spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad said that the block level demonstrations in various districts saw participation of leaders from all Opposition parties aligned with the INDIA bloc and the agitation would continue till fresh elections are announced in Bihar. He said that Leader of Opposition in the Bihar assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav would lead a march from Gandhi Maidan to Lok Bhawan on October 8....
