BHABUA, Sept. 14 -- In a major action against the fertilizer black marketing racket in Kaimur, District Administration and Agriculture Department officials busted an illegal fertilizer repacking unit at Kukradh village under the Sonhan police station area. Recovery of 683 bags of Technical Grade Urea, used in mining and landmine explosions, has alerted the police, officials said on Sunday. On a tip-off that suspicious fertilizer was being illegally stored and loaded onto trucks in a warehouse near Kukradh village on the Sonhan-Kudra Road, Kaimur district magistrate (DM) Kumar Anurag formed a joint team under Bhabua SDM Amit Kumar and District Agriculture Officer Vikas Kumar for a surprise raid at the site. Officials recovered 683 bags of technical grade urea in the warehouse and 188 bags loaded on the truck, along with 873 bags of suspicious DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) and 1700 pieces of empty urea and DAP bags. The truck was seized and the nearby Sonhan police station was informed. The owner and river of the truck were arrested by police. During interrogations, they revealed that the illegal unit was operated in the warehouse by one Alok Shrivastava, proprietor of Maa Ambe Khad Bhandar at Bhagwanpur. A case was registered against Shrivastava, the warehouse owner, truck owner and driver under sections 3(5) and 318 BNS and section 7 of the Essential Commodity Act. Agriculture Department and police were taking further legal action, Sonhan SHO Jitendra Kumar pandit said....
