Guv advocates Nalanda Approach for stronger global partnerships
Patna, June 20 -- Bihar Governor Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd) on Friday advocated the "Nalanda Approach" for strengthening global partnerships through education, research, innovation and cultural exchange.
He was delivering a special address on "Power Through Knowledge: Reviving Civilizational Partnerships for the Future of Humanity" Issyk-Kul International Forum-40 held at Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic, said a communique from Bihar Lok Bhawan.
Highlighting Bihar's rich legacy as the home of Nalanda University, one of the world's earliest centres of international learning, where scholars from across Asia gathered to exchange knowledge and ideas, he emphasised "true influence in the twenty-first century lies in knowledge and innovation".
He called for deeper academic and intellectual cooperation between India and the Kyrgyz Republic to revive the historic spirit of civilizational exchange.
Hasnain underscored the importance of strengthening contemporary partnerships through dialogue, cultural engagement and mutual learning, drawing upon the rich shared heritage between India and Central Asia.
The three-day Issyk-Kul International Forum-40 from June 18-21 was inaugurated by Kyrgyz Republic President Sadyr Zhaparov and delegates from several countries participated. Bihar Governor reached Bishkek on June 17 and was welcomed by Birendra Singh Yadav, Ambassador of India to Kyrgyz Republic....
