Govt committed to promoting industry: Jaiswal
PATNA, March 22 -- Industries minister Dilip Jaiswal on Saturday said the state government remained firmly committed to promoting entrepreneurship and industrial growth through progressive policies, simplified procedures and steady financial support.
Addressing the 13th Bihar Entrepreneurs Summit, Jaiswal stressed that scaling businesses beyond the startup phase was essential for them to compete at national and global levels. The summit was held under the theme "scale-up Bihar", which brought together policymakers, investors, industry leaders and young entrepreneurs.
The event, organised by the Bihar Entrepreneurs' Association (BEA), was focused on turning ideas into sustainable enterprises and strengthening the state's industrial base.
On the occasion, agriculture minister Ramkripal Yadav underlined the huge scope for agri-based ventures. He called for blending modern technology with farming to create more rural jobs and raise incomes.
As part of the summit, one entrepreneur from each of Bihar's 38 districts was felicitated for outstanding work in job creation and local development. In addition, ten startups received a total of Rs.1.01 crore under government schemes to help them grow their operations and reach new markets.
The summit reinforced the state's push to attract fresh investment and build a robust, inclusive industrial ecosystem that supports both innovation and employment.
Pankaj Singh, president, BEA, emphasised the need to transform Bihar into a dynamic ecosystem that attracted opportunities and investments from across the country.
BEA general secretary Abhishek Kumar underlined the aims and objectives of the summit as a platform to address real challenges faced by entrepreneurs. He emphasised the shift in focus from startup creation to building scalable and sustainable enterprises....
