ARA, May 21 -- A girl allegedly died by suicide after consuming poison on Wednesday in Bhojpur district, police said. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Koilwar police station in the district, they added. Following the incident, the victim was rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital, where she died during treatment. According to the victim's sister, about a year ago, the girl attended a wedding ceremony at her maternal grandmother's house in Patna, where she met a boy from Arwal district. The two reportedly became close over time. However, in the meantime, the victim's family arranged her marriage elsewhere, which was scheduled to take place next year.
