BETTIAH, July 1 -- Police in Bihar's East Champaran on Tuesday arrested five notorious criminals belonging to Odisha from a lodge in Motihari district. East Champaran's SP Swarn Prabhat said that a police team caught them from a lodge in Bariyarpur locality under Chhatauni police station area of Motihari. "They all are history-sheeters and were wanted in multiple criminal cases," he said. Police seized one pistol, one country-made firearm, eight live cartridges, two motorcycles, six mobile phones from them. The arrested persons were identified as Ajit Audal, D Gandhi and Dilip Makla, all from Ganjam district, and Jitu Rao Pradhan and Kishore Pradhan - residents of Jajpur district in Odisha. Meanwhile, Chhatauni police lodged an FIR against the lodge owner for allegedly harbouring and sheltering the criminals....
