Fire dept seeks safety reports from pvt hospitals and hotels
PATNA, June 6 -- Following the fire incident in a Muzaffarpur-based private hospital, the state homeguard and fire services sought safety reports from all private hospitals and hotels within a week.
The department late on Thursday instructed private hospitals to submit their electric load analysis certificate (ELAC) within a week after getting approval from the power company. The hospital management will have to certify that their power system is safe, there is no overloading and there is no possibility of a short circuit.
The department also ordered the hotels to submit a report detailing the possession/exact numbers of LPGs.
"If any private hospital or hotel does not submit its report in the stipulated period or if the report is found to be faulty, it will be sealed without prior notice," said Director General-cum-Commandant General of Bihar Home Guard and Fire Service Shobha Ohatker....
