Father and son die trying to board moving train in Bihar
ARA, May 23 -- A 35-year-old man and his four-year-old son died on Friday while trying to board departing Jansadharan Express train at Ara Junction on the Danapur-PDDU railway line, police said.
Marghoob, a relative, said, "My sister Nazia Parveen, her husband Azim and their sons Danyal and Chhotu were traveling to Patna from Moradabad Junction in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday."
"Their train halted at Ara Junction. Azim and Danyal deboarded to buy some food when the train started departing. They tried to board the train in a rush, but died in the process," he added.
While Danyal died at the scene, Government Railway Police (GRP) and residents rushed Azim to Ara Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
"Azim was a native of Rampur village under Tanda police station area in Rampur district of UP. He worked at a hotel in Patna," a police officer said.
Ara GRP police station SHO Randhir Kumar said that since the train had departed, Nazia and their younger son Chhotu learned of the accident after reaching Patna....
