SASARAM, Aug. 6 -- A 60-year-old labourer was allegedly shot at and abducted in a car by a rich farmer over a wage dispute at Jogia village under Dinara police station area of Rohtas district on Wednesday. Chandeshwar Chaudhary had allegedly stopped working with farmer Ajit Tiwary to work at another household. On Wednesday, when Chaudhary reached Tiwary 's house to demand due wages, he shot him and fled with the critically injured man in his car, police said. Enraged family and community members surrounded and torched Tiwary 's house and did not allow police and villagers to dodge fire. They also torched the harvester, tractor and other vehicles and agriculture equipment parked outside the house. Rohtas DM Dipak Kumar Mishra and SP Raushan Kumar rushed to the scene with heavy reinforcement. Four women stuck inside burning house were rescued after much efforts because the fire engines could not reach the house due to obstructions made by the mob, SP said, adding that the mob demanded the accused's arrest and Chaudhary's recovery. Police launched a man hunt, tracked Tiwary and arrested him from Gazipur in Uttar Pradesh. He allegedly told police that the labourer had died and he had thrown the body into a canal. Now, SDRF has been called to retrieve the body from. Police are also trying to recover the murder weapon, SP added. The DM and SP are camping at the site with a heavy contingent of police and riot control force and are trying to control the situation....
