Electricity dept JE, JD(U) MLA file police plaint against each other
PATNA, June 18 -- A junior engineer (JE) of the electricity department, Nitesh Kumar, filed an FIR with the Sadar police station against Kurtha JD(U) MLA Pappu Verma, accusing him of assaulting, abusing and obstructing government work. In counter, the MLA also registered a complaint with the same police station against the JE alleging that he indulged in corruption, harassed and abused people.

The JE in his complaint, said the incident took place on June 13, when the MLA allegedly called him on his official mobile number. The JE greeted him, but the MLA got angry and threatened to hit him with a shoe. When the JE informed that the call was on recording, the MLA disconnected the call.
The JE further said the same day, the MLA made a WhatsApp call in the evening and abused him. "People have registered complaints against you, give Rs.50,000 or you will not be able to continue in your job in my jurisdiction and I will raise questions against you in Assembly," said the JE .
Kumar said, on Tuesday, he was called to the Circuit House, where MLA Verma abused and assaulted him.
The MLA said a transformer in Ram Lagan Bigha village had flamed out for several days and people were suffering in the hot weather. The villagers had called him repeatedly to solve the problem.
"After this, I called the JE, and asked him to install the new transformer, but the JE used foul language and abused me. That is the reason I called him to the Circuit House and reprimanded him," the MLA clarified....
