Dumka: Madrasa teacher found dead in hotel; Son alleges conspiracy
Ranchi, March 27 -- A 47-year-old madrasa teacher was found dead in suspicious circumstances in a hotel near Dudhani Tower Chowk in Jharkhand's Dumka on Thursday, causing a sensation in the area.
The deceased, identified as Mohammad Sadiq Hussain Ansari, a resident of Sakrikitta Rampur in the Boarijor area of Godda, was a father of six sons.
According to a police official close to the matter, the teacher reached the hotel from Godda at 8 PM on a motorcycle, accompanied by a 42-year-old woman, Radhika Rai. Rai, a resident of Bangaon, is reportedly the mother of a girl.
According to her statement, Ansari returned to the room after dinner at 11:00 PM complaining of uneasiness. She claimed that when he became motionless, she initially thought he had fallen asleep, only realising later that he had passed away and then she raised an alarm.
However, the teacher's son, Arif, lodged a formal police complaint alleging that his father was murdered as part of a deep-rooted conspiracy. While the police have initiated a probe, an official FIR is yet to be registered because the force was heavily deployed for Ram Navami flag march duties on Thursday.
SDPO Vijay Kumar Mahto confirmed the recovery of the body and the detention of the woman.
"The woman accompanying the teacher has been detained for questioning. The cause of the sudden death is yet to be ascertained. Probe is ongoing," he stated, adding that incident was being probed from all possible angles....
