Dhanbad, July 19 -- A 26-yr-old woman was allegedly hacked to death by her husband with a sickle following a domestic dispute at Navrottampur village under Pakur Muffasil police station of Dhanbad, people aware of the development said on Saturday. The accused also seriously injured his father when he tried to intervene. The deceased was identified as Sonabhan Bibi (26), while the injured is Manarul Sheikh, father of accused Enamul Sheikh, who fled after the attack. According to police, the incident began after Enamul, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, questioned his wife about where she had gone. Sonabhan told him that she had visited her parental home. However, when Enamul contacted her relatives, he was informed that she had not been there. This led to a heated argument, which soon turned violent. Police said Enamul first assaulted his wife and then attacked her repeatedly with a hasua (a sharp iron sickle used for cutting grass)....
