Darbhanga doctors call for safer workplaces
DARBHANGA, Aug. 9 -- Amid growing concerns over violence against doctors and healthcare workers across the country, obstetricians, gynaecologists and other medical professionals in Darbhanga on Saturday reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety, dignity and security of healthcare professionals, particularly women doctors.
The programme was organised by the Darbhanga Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (DOGS) at DMCH gynaecology department under the aegis of the Federation of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI), ahead of the nationwide observance of 'Abhaya Diwas' on August 9.
The initiative seeks to raise awareness against violence targeting doctors and healthcare workers and demand safe workplaces, dignity and justice for medical professionals.
Doctors attending the programme shared their concerns over rising violence in healthcare settings and stressed that attacks on medical professionals not only threaten those providing patient care but also seriously undermine the safety and quality of healthcare delivery....
