PATNA, July 16 -- A criminal was injured in a police encounter at Sakrohar Kurwan Path under Beldaur police station limits in Khagaria district late on Tuesday night, officials said. The injured criminal was identified as Akhilesh Kumar. Police said the encounter took place after he allegedly tried to snatch the service pistol of a sub-inspector (SI). He was shot in the leg during the operation.
