PATNA, March 14 -- An elderly couple was found murdered at Basantpur village of Banka district on Friday. The victims were identified as 65-year-old Kailash Yadav and his wife Samri Devi, 60. Their bodies were found in a pool of blood in their cow shed, said the police. A police officer said the murders were first discovered by a few villagers, who had come to visit the couple in the morning. "The couple used to live alone. This morning, when a few villagers couldn't find them outside their cowshed, they started searching for them and instead found their bodies inside the cowshed," said SDPO Amar Vishwas. Police suspect land dispute to be the reason behind the murder. However, all aspects are being looked into. Preliminary investigation said, Kailash and his wife were sleeping in a cowshed near their house falling under Town police station. Late on Thursday, unidentified assailants slit their throats and fled from the spot....
