Couple among 4 of family killed in ara accident
ARA, July 6 -- Four people, including a couple who got married in February this year, died after a Scorpio lost control and collided with a truck trailer on Ara-Buxar NH (922) near Rahi Hotel in Amari Nawada under Bihiya police station area in Ara early Sunday morning, police said.
The victims include Prakash Kumar Singh, 32, a resident of Santsangh Nagar in Deoghar police station area of Jharkhand's Deoghar district, his 27-year-old wife, Pallavi Kumari, his cousin Saurav Kumar, 26, a resident of Ismaila village in Dighwara police station area of Saran and Saurav's brother Kumar Gaurav, 24.
While three of them died at the spot, Gaurav succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a private hospital at Patna where he was referred from Ara Sadar Hospital after receiving primary treatment. Rakesh Malhotra, a friend of Prakash's father, said the couple and his two cousins had been on a 15-day trip.
The four first visited Pashupatinath temple in Nepal. From there, they went to Pallavi's sister's house in Noida. They were returning to Jharkhand after touring Kullu-Manali and Ladakh.
While Prakash worked at a private company in Ranchi as an engineer, Saurav is said to be a student....
