PATNA, Sept. 22 -- Less than two months after chief minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated the newly built 400-bed Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital on July 25, several chambers, washrooms and the physiotherapy unit in the facility were shut on Monday after a dispute between the contractor and hospital administration over unfinished work, people familiar with the matter said. Power to the new building was also disconnected, disrupting the outpatient department (OPD) and physiotherapy services and forcing the hospital administration to shift the OPD to its old building. The dispute centred on the contractor's insistence that hospital director Dr Rakesh Choudhary take possession of the new building. Dr Choudhary refused, citing several pending works, and reportedly sought another 15-20 days to take over the premises. Electrical work remain incomplete at the new building....
