Class 9 student sneaks firearm in govt school
BETTIAH, Aug. 12 -- Bhairoganj police in Bagaha police district apprehended a Class IX student after he sneaked a country-made pistol into a government school and scared off the students at a place in West Champaran district, officials said on Tuesday.
In an official statement, dated August 11, 2026, Bagaha police said under sections 25(1-B)A and 26 of the Arms Act, a student in conflict with law, was apprehended. "He has been sent before the competent court," said the police statement.
Bagaha-1 block education officer Puran Sharma said a Class IX student of a government high school at Bhairoganj subdivision sneaked a firearm into the school and scared the other children after the lunch break on Monday....
