CISF jawan, wife die in road accident
KHAGARIA, May 1 -- In a tragic incident, three persons, including a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and his wife were killed when a truck carrying stone chips overturned on the auto in which they were going to the railway station on Thursday morning.
The CISF jawan, a resident of Barhi Maliya village of the Gogri block of Khagaria district, was posted at Durgapur in West Bengal while his wife is a government school teacher in Deoghar, Jharkhand.
The deceased have been identified as 45-year old Bipin Kumar, his wife, 38-year-old Deepmala Kumari, and the auto driver, 32-year-old Tankesh Kumar.
The accident took place near Gauchhari petrol pump on the NH-31 under the jurisdiction of Maheshkhunt police station at about 5 am on Thursday.
Station house officer (SHO) Mithilesh Kumar, who rushed to the spot soon after the accident, said, "It took about two hours to take out the bodies with the help of a JCB. "All the bodies were sent to Khagaria district hospital for postmortem. Police and the officials of the mining department have started investigation and both the vehicles have been seized," the SHO said adding. On the other hand, the truck driver escaped from the scene soon after the accident.
According to the report, the CISF head constable had come to his native village after two years and he was returning to Durgapur to join his duty when the accident took place. "The wife accompanied him to see him off at the railway station when the accident took place," relatives of the deceased said, adding, "The couple has two children -- a son and a daughter."...
