RANCHI, Sept. 15 -- State Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested two individuals on Monday for their alleged roles in manipulating state competitive exams. According to an official press release, the latest actions target separate syndicates involving irregularities in the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) and the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) recruitment frameworks. In connection with the JSSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination scam, the probe agency apprehended 41-year-old Dilip Kumar Paswan. Paswan, originally from Jamui, Bihar, and temporarily residing in Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, has been booked under CID Police Station Case No. 01/2025. Officials revealed that he played a critical role in providing unfair advantages and illicit assistance to multiple candidates during the JSSC-CGL exams. Simultaneously, the CID cracked down on a JPSC examination fraud racket, arresting 38-year-old Sanjeet Kumar from the Ratu Road area in Ranchi. Investigating authorities identified Kumar as the operator of the Ranchi-based 'Shivangan Coaching' center. The agency disclosed that he had been actively operating as an illegal agent within the paper manipulation network. Kumar faces charges under CID Police Station Case No. 16/2026. Both accused individuals have been sent to judicial custody following their arrests.
