Celebratory firing injures 3 at Muzaffarpur wedding
BETTIAH, July 1 -- Three people sustained bullet injuries during celebratory firing at a wedding ceremony in Parasauni Jahangir village under Sahebganj police station area of Bihar's Muzaffarpur district late on Monday, police said on Tuesday.
Saraiya SDPO Abhijit Kaur said one of the injured was identified as Anil Paswan who is being treated at SKMCH.
"Initial investigation revealed that a worker with the tent house sustained a bullet injury to his leg after a man accompanying the wedding procession fired multiple shots. The identities of the other two injured are being verified," Kaur said.
"We are also examining video footage of the wedding ceremony. Sahebganj police are yet to register a case in this connection. Further investigation into the matter is underway and action will be taken accordingly," the SDPO added.
Sahebganj SHO said that the procession came from Jagiraha village under Kesariya police station area of East Champaran. "We suspect two injured were ferried back to East Champaran. Probe is on," he added....
