RANCHI, Oct. 24 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a proclaimed offender, Satyendra Kumar, ending a 25-year manhunt tied to the infamous Fodder Scam. The arrest took place at the Lucknow Railway Station around midnight on Thursday. Kumar had been evading law enforcement since 2001, immediately after the CBI filed its initial charge sheet in the case. Because he repeatedly failed to appear before the court to face trial, a permanent arrest warrant was issued against him. According to official press release, intelligence operations recently tracked Kumar's location to Nepal. Investigators learned he had crossed back into India and was travelling by train from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The CBI quickly mobilised a specialized team to intercept him. The agency used a combination of physical, technical, and human intelligence to track his movements. CBI officials were deployed at the Lucknow Railway Station ahead of the train's arrival. Around midnight, the team successfully identified and apprehended Kumar as he stepped off the train. Kumar is currently being transported to Ranchi on a transit remand. He will be produced before a competent court to finally face trial for his alleged involvement in the multi-million-dollar scam....
