Cash, valuables worth Rs.40L looted from mobile shop
PATNA, July 7 -- Unidentified miscreants allegedly stole cash and valuables worth Rs.40 lakh from a mobile shop at Daniyawan bazar, police said on Monday.
Police said the shop owner, Surendra Kumar, closed his shop at 11pm on Sunday. "The incident came to light when someone called him and informed that the main shutter was cut with an iron grill. The criminals used a gas cutter to break the shutter," said an officer, adding Kumar then informed police who started an investigation.
"Police found that the criminals ransacked the shop and stole Rs.3.20 lakh cash and costly inventory, including several iPhones and cell phones of other branded top companies, along with televisions, laptops and batteries worth around Rs.40 lakh," he added.
Fatuha SDPO Sanjeev Kumar said that based on preliminary investigations and technical evidence, it seemed that 4 to 5 people were involved. "We are conducting raids at various possible hideouts to apprehend the accused and recover the stolen goods," he added....
