PATNA, March 13 -- The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) carried out raids on Thursday on three premises of Pankaj Kumar, deputy general manager (projects) of Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Limited (BMSICL), in a case of disproportionate assets. The SVU recovered Rs.32 lakh cash and ornaments worth Rs.1.31 crore from his residence at Konika Maihar Apartment under Kadamkuan police station here. Pankaj Kumar is accused of amassing illegal wealth through corrupt practices far beyond his known sources of income. According to SVU, he allegedly acquired assets worth about Rs.2.60 crore during his 13-year service only. SVU sleuths raided his office on PMCH, campus, his house at Sultanganj and flat in Kadamkuan police stations area. An FIR was registered under Prevention of Corruption Act....
