Bihar Civil Court Employees Postpone 'Black Day' Protest
BUXAR/ARA, Oct. 7 -- The "Black Day" program proposed by the Bihar State Civil Court Employees Union on October 7, 2026, has been postponed with immediate effect, in response to the pending demands and service-related issues of the employees of the Civil Court.
On October 6, 2026, as directed by the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, a detailed and positive discussion was held with the concerned Registrars of the Patna High Court, along with the President of the Union, Rajeshwar Tiwari, and the General Secretary, Satyarth Singh, regarding various issues facing the employees, particularly salary discrepancies, promotions, and other service-related problems.
It was agreed in the meeting that necessary action will be taken by engaging with the state government as soon as possible to resolve the pending issues and demands of the employees. It was also agreed to hold a meeting between the representatives of the Union and the Registrars every month to keep the Union informed of the progress made towards resolving the issues. The union has explicitly warned that if the state government and the Patna High Court do not take concrete action to resolve their grievances following the October 7 protest, employees will go on an indefinite collective leave starting November 2, 2026.
