PATNA, Oct. 4 -- Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to pair student APAAR ( automated permanent academic account registry) IDs with Face ID biometric authentication at testing centres to bolster verification, boost transparency, and curb malpractice, while expediting Computer-Based Test (CBT) evaluations for punctual result publication, officials said on Saturday. A decision to this effect was taken at the review conducted by Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari where he directed top officials to ensure effective implementation of the same. Further to curb post-matriculation dropouts between Classes X and XII, the state education department is preparing targeted financial incentives alongside direct bridges to Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and vocational hubs. Obsolete vocational trades are being replaced by high-demand tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Animation Design, Robotics, Mobile Repairing, and Advanced Electrical and Electronics. The state will now additionally issue formal commendation letters to first-division matriculation and intermediate graduates and ease entry into the prestigious Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, ensuring geography and economic background no longer limit high-achieving talent across Bihar. Meanwhile in an aggressive push to modernise public education, curb dropouts, and democratise competitive coaching, the Bihar government earlier rolled out sweeping digital and structural reforms across state schools and its flagship Bihar Vidya Saathi app crossed 300,000 registered students within its inaugural month. Education minister Tiwari said that rural youth drove 73 percent of the total sign-ups and efforts were being made to ensure "cent-percent" spread. Public classrooms are turning into competitive coaching hubs and the enrolled students have already logged over two lakh minutes of live online tutoring.
