Jamshedpur, March 24 -- A joint team of Indian Army and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of Jharkhand Special Task Force (STF) on Monday inspected the made in America 227kg bomb of the World War-2 era on the bank of Subarnarekha at Panipara-Nagursai in Bangalore Block under East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand even as a second bomb was unearthed amid information of eight more such bombs, people aware of the matter said on Monday. "The teams of Indian Army and Jharkhand STF inspected the bomb on Monday and mapped the area with drone cameras. The bomb defusal and disposal work will commence from tomorrow. The site has been cordoned off and security has been tightened to prevent any trespassing. People have been requested not to venture near the site," Ajit Kujur, Ghatshila SDPO, told HT on Monday. "The army experts said special resources would be needed to defuse and dispose the bomb, probably by controlled explosion. The people, particularly fishermen, have been requested not to go for fishing in the area. Another bomb like thing or its cover was found after the army experts dug out another site pointed out by the villagers. Villagers have expressed possibility of eight such bomb like things buried under sand in the area following which an alert has been sounded," a BDS official said, not willing to be quoted....
