DARBHANGA, April 26 -- Admissions for the academic session 2026-27 have been announced for the newly established Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3, Darbhanga (AIIMS campus). The school administration has invited offline registrations for Balvatika I, II, III and Classes I to V, with one section available in each class. According to an official KVS order dated April 7, 2026, the KV number 3 (AIIMS) in Darbhanga received clearance after the sponsoring authority met key prerequisites, including the transfer of five acres of land near the proposed AIIMS site at Shobhan and the identification of a temporary campus at Government +2 High School at Kolhanta Patori village in Hanuman Nagar block. The order noted that approval was granted following compliance with all mandatory requirements and directed that academic activities commence immediately. Rishi Raman, principal of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Darbhanga, said the district's readiness enabled swift approval. "Darbhanga is the first district where all conditions, including land transfer and temporary accommodation, have been fulfilled," he said.
