97.98% turnout in mlc bypoll, result on May 14
PATNA, May 13 -- The by election to one MLC seat from Bhojpur cum Buxar local authorities constituency on Tuesday passed off peacefully by recording 97.96 percent polling. The counting of the votes will take place on May 14.
The bypoll to the MC seat was necessitated by the vacancy caused by the election of sitting incumbent Radha Charan Seth to the state assembly in the 2025 assembly polls. Seth is a sitting JD(U) MLA from Sandesh assembly constituency in Bhojpur district.
The main contest is among three candidates comprising JD(U) candidate Kanhaiya Prasad, RJD candidate candidate Sonu Kumar Rai and an independent and expelled state level JD-U official Manoj Kumar Upadhyay. There are six candidates in the fray....
