PATNA, April 7 -- A five-year-old student of a private residential school was found dead in mysterious circumstances at Kanodi locality falling under the Karauna police station area of Jehanabad district, police said on Monday.The incident took place at Gurukul Hostel in Lodipur. The deceased's family members alleged that the school management "stabbed the boy to death." The deceased has been identified as Ashu Kumar, a resident of Bulaki Bigha village under the Karauna police station. The boy had come to stay at the residential school only 10 days ago. Boy's father Dhananjay Kumar said he received a call from the school management around 6 am on Monday saying his son was unwell. "When we arrived at the school premises, we found my son lying in a pool of blood with wounds on his neck, stomach and eye. He was immediately rushed to a Jehanabad hospital from where he was referred to the PMCH but died on the way," said Dhananjay. Police said the school management informed the relatives about his health condition. The boy was rushed to a hospital in the state capital where doctors declared him brought dead. Family members of the boy alleged that there were several injury marks on his body. Boy's maternal uncle Rahul Kumar told reporters that stab wounds were found on his neck and stomach, hinting that it was a case of murder. As soon as the news of the alleged murder spread, locals and family members rushed to the spot and blocked the Gaya-Patna NH near the school, disrupting vehicular traffic for more than three hours. The entire school staff fled the premises after the incident. The residential school is a three-storey building. Two of the floors are meant for student stays. More than 100 children live in the hostel. After the incident, many parents took their children away from the hostel. Meanwhile, the police reached the blockade site and calmed the people. Jehanabad SDPO Mahesh Kumar Mishra said an investigation is under way. "The school owner has been detained for interrogation. The exact reason behind the death can only be ascertained after obtaining the post-mortem report," said the SDPO, adding that a child has died. The family alleged that he was murdered while the school authority claimed the boy died after falling from the first floor. A forensic team has been called to collect evidence. The body was sent to Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Additional police force has been deployed in and around the school due to the prevailing tension....
