5 dummy candidates held at 3 CSBC exam centres for cheating
PURNEA, June 16 -- Five dummy candidates were arrested at three exam centres in Purnea for cheating using mobile phones and Bluetooth devices. The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) conducts recruitment for Excise/Prohibition constables in Bihar, officials said.
In a press release issued from the office of Purnea Superintendent of Police (SP) Sweety Sahrawat on Monday, it said that out of five candidates, four were candidates while one was arrested outside the centre.
Those arrested have been identified as Prateek Kumar and Sujeet Kumar both from Gaya Ji, Sandeep Kumar from Saran while Mohammad Ayub Ansari and Mohammad Nazir are from Rohtas.
Prateek, Sujeet and Sandeep were caught while writing papers for others while Ayub Ansari was arrested outside the centre with Walkie-Talkie, one charger, one admit card while the examinee Nazir was arrested with a Bluetooth device.
The arrests were made from three centres- Zila School, B B M High School both falling under town police station and Saraswati Vidya Mandir centre under Krityanand Nagar police station.
Meanwhile, police have started a detailed investigation after the arrests. "We are looking into the case from various angles including who was behind the game and who provided the electronic device," police said adding "The arrested people have been sent to judicial custody."
The CSBC is conducting recruitment for Excise/Prohibition Constables in Bihar. Candidates who have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent qualification and meet the prescribed physical standards are eligible to apply....
