ARA, June 18 -- A 30-year-old man allegedly died during treatment for bullet injuries sustained in an encounter by a joint team of Bhojpur police and STF in Bilauti village under Shahpur police station of Bhojpur district on Wednesday, police said. According to police, they learnt that Bharat Bhushan Tiwari had fired multiple rounds in the air around 9 am. When a police team went to detain him, the man allegedly chased them away while brandishing a pistol, hurling abuses and threatening to shoot them. When police asked Tiwari to surrender, he allegedly opened fire on them. In retaliatory firing, the youth was shot in both legs. Police added they initially took him to Shahpur Referral Hospital, then to Ara Sadar Hospital and finally to PMCH, where he died. Meanwhile, police seized a pistol, two live cartridges, one magazine and two empty cartridges from the scene....
