PATNA, Oct. 19 -- Three people, including a girl from Gaya and two men from Muzzafarpur, were among those who died in the stampede that broke out in a Durga Puja pandal at Chorbagan in Kolkata on Saturday evening, said state officials and family members of the deceased. The stampede claimed 19 lives and scores of others were injured. Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, the brother of one deceased from Muzaffarpur, told media persons that some members of the family had gone to visit relatives in Kolkata. In the deadly melee on Saturday, Abhishek Kumar Srivastava and his son, Avinash Kumar Srivastava, were trapped inside the pandal and lost their lives.
