2 sisters die by suicide after mom's scolding in Madhepura
MADHEPURAT, May 16 -- Two minor sisters died allegedly by suicide after being scolded by their mother in Bihar's Madhepura on Friday, police said.
"When I returned from the maize farm, I found both my daughters hanging," the upset mother, a daily wage farm labourer said, adding "My husband who is also a daily wage labourer was not at home."
"I soon cut the rope and took them to the local PHC where both of them were declared dead," she lamented.
According to the locals, the mother had scolded her daughters in the farm. "They returned from the maize farm and took an extreme step," they added.
The father who too reached after sometime was clueless. "I can't say after all what happened with my daughters," he said, adding, "Both of them were not taking interest in their studies and for this we sometimes scolded them."
SDPO Avinash Kumar said, "We will look into the case from all angles. An investigation is underway."...
