2 guards at Khan Sir's coaching centre arrested after video shows them 'firing'
PATNA, June 5 -- The firing incident at Khan Global Studies (KGS) took a new twist with the arrest of two guards, employed by YouTuber educationist Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir, after a video released by a rival coaching centre showed them firing the rounds, police said on Thursday.
Police had on Wednesday arrested three persons, including rival coaching institute director Roshan Anand, in connection with the assault at the gate of Khan's institute located in Mussalahpur Hatt area under the jurisdiction of Kadamkuan police station late Tuesday.
On Thursday, Anand's coaching institute staff sent a widely circulated video clip of firing by Khan's guards for forensic examination to ascertain the exact timing of the incident. Anand runs Gyan Bindu Institute in the same area and also enjoys good popularity.
The police verified the purported clip before taking action against Khan's guards and also raised questions about the undue haste of the police in arresting another teacher within hours of uncertified allegations and without corroborative evidence.
Patna SSP K Sharma said that police arrested two guards of KGS, seized their weapons and sent them to FSL for examination. "Police verified the video after which a case was lodged at Kadamkuan police station and two guards were taken into custody for questioning. Probe is on. The weapons used in the incident have been seized," he said.
As soon as the video surfaced, police arrived at Khan's coaching center and brought the two guards, Pradeep and Taleshwar who were seen firing in video, to Kadamkuan police station. After around three hours of questioning, police arrested both of them.
Adarsh Kumar of the Gyan Bindu Institute released the video and alleged that the entire incident had been pre-planned for publicity, to run down competitors by showing them in a bad light and make a case for bigger security cover.
"The firing was carried out at Khan's behest. Roshan Anand was arrested, while he was nowhere to be seen in the video. If he has been arrested, now there is bigger evidence to make a strong case for Khan's arrest. The turn of events point to a dangerous design to not only defame other teachers and institutes, but also to take the administration for a ride," he said.
Khan's institute in Patna was allegedly attacked around 10 pm. It was alleged that some people beat up the center's guard, pelted stones at the campus and tore down posters and banners....
