PATNA, Aug. 26 -- A 15-year-old girl was kidnapped from Mokama and dumped in Begusarai after being brutally raped, police said on Tuesday. Police said that the incident came to light after the girl was admitted to a hospital in Begusarai by an auto driver who informed the family about the incident. The girl's family reached the hospital and brought her to Mokama. They lodged a complaint against a local boy at Mokama police station after which police registered an FIR against the accused. The survivor told police that the accused lured her and promised to take her to Mokama market. The accused then allegedly took her to Begusarai via the Mokama four-lane where he raped her and left her on the roadside before fleeing. Police said that the girl, having suffered injuries, managed to board an auto-rickshaw despite bleeding profusely after emerging from the bushes. "She fainted from the profuse bleeding. The auto-rickshaw driver immediately rushed the girl to the nearest hospital. From the hospital, the driver called the girl's mother and informed her of the incident," an officer said. Police said that the girl regained consciousness after three to four hours. A written complaint was subsequently filed at the Mokama police station.
