SAMASTIPUR, April 21 -- A youth was killed and another seriously injured after motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire in Madhopur village under Kalyanpur police station limits of Bihar's Samastipur district on Monday afternoon, police said. The injured man was first taken to Kalyanpur PHC and later referred to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital as his condition deteriorated. Police reached the spot after receiving information and launched an investigation. A Bullet motorcycle, a firearm, empty cartridges and another weapon were recovered from the scene and seized for forensic examination. Officials said the identities of the deceased and the injured were yet to be established. According to local residents, four youths riding two motorcycles were seen arguing near Madhopur village shortly before the firing. A short distance later, one biker reportedly opened fire on the riders coming from behind. The rider driving the Bullet motorcycle died on the spot after sustaining multiple bullet injuries, while the second victim was also shot....
