India, Oct. 9 -- Filmmaker Anil Sharma, who directed Patekar in Vanvaas (2024), recalls the actor's dedication on set and his independent nature. "He was like family to me. I still remember the last scene of that film is set amid a snowfall. He was standing throughout the day in snow, just for that one scene." Sharma also remembers repeatedly urging the actor, who lived alone, to have someone at home. "Agar koi hota, toh time pe hospital le jaata. Nana would say 'kuchh hoga toh chale jaayenge ek minute ke andar'." He adds that Patekar did everything himself, from cooking to cleaning his house....
