NOIDA, Oct. 22 -- A total of 26 fire incidents were reported across Gautam Budh Nagar district during Diwali, however, no injuries or casualties were reported, fire officials said on Tuesday, adding that majority of the incidents occurred between October 20 and 21 at high-rise flats, houses, shops and factories with most fires caused due to firecrackers and diyas. Chief fire officer (CFO) Pradeep Kumar Chaubey said, "We received 26 fire calls - 15 from high-rise society flats, five from houses, and the rest from shops and factories. Fortunately, there was no loss of life or injury in any of them." One of the major incidents was reported from Kendriya Vihar, Sector 51, Noida, where a trapped woman was rescued from a locked room, officials said. Other fires were reported from Aditya Celebrity Homes (Sec 76), Ajnara Heritage Society (Sec 74), and from a cardboard factory and a sanitaryware showroom in Kasna, officials said....
