MUMBAI, Nov. 8 -- A 28-year-old woman died at a Navi Mumbai civic hospital on Friday, days after allegedly attempting suicide following years of physical and mental harassment by her husband and father-in-law. The woman was allegedly subjected to sustained harassment by the two men at their residence in Sector 4, Ghansoli. According to a complaint lodged by her brother with Koparkhairane police, the harassment had been going on since February 15, 2015. Her brother alleged that she had been subjected to physical and mental abuse by her husband and father-in-law and took the extreme step as she could no longer endure the harassment. On November 1, at around 7.30pm, she allegedly attempted suicide by hanging herself at her residence. She was rushed to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's Vashi hospital, where she was undergoing treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries on Friday. Following her death, her brother approached Koparkhairane police and lodged a complaint against the husband and father-in-law....
