India, May 20 -- Watching their homes get bulldozed, Amjad Pathan, 42, who came to Garib Nagar 40 years ago, patiently waited for the drive to end. He and seven members of his family were seen seated under the searing sun next to a cupboard, washing machine and broken fans. They have nowhere to go. "We came to live here as one family even though we knew we were on railway land. The government should think about all sections of society. When the demolition ends tonight, we will shift all our furniture right at the place where our ground floor house stood," said Pathan, a labourer, as other family members lay on a sofa behind him under an umbrella to protect themselves from the sun....
