THANE, Sept. 21 -- Two more arrests have been made in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak case. Both the accused were produced before the Bhiwandi court on Sunday and remanded to police custody till September 23. Sunday's arrests, made by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Thane police, takes the total number of arrests to 18. The SIT had filed a 3,470-page charge-sheet last week before the Bhiwandi court naming 16 accused, including the wife of the main accused. The accused arrested on Sunday are Prakash Misal and Ashok Kumar Shaw. They were picked up on Saturday respectively from Beed in Maharashtra and Patna in Bihar. According to the police, Misal had met one of the main accused, Kapil Dahiya, in Pune, where they discussed the purchase and sale of the TET paper. The SIT has recovered a list containing the names of 149 people from Shaw's Bihar home, The list includes the names of 18 candidates who took the exam. Assistant commissioner of police Vijay Marathe, a member of the SIT, told HT, "Misal was in touch with Dahia and the students. He acted as an agent, whose role was to collect the paper and supply it to the students. Shaw's role is being investigated and a list of students has been recovered from him."...
