MUMBAI, July 22 -- A 28-year-old revenue officer was allegedly assaulted and robbed of cash and his identity card by two unidentified men on a Harbour line local train on Thursday afternoon. The suspects fled after a scuffle on the train and the platform, police said. The victim, Meghraj Pardeshi, who works at the Mumbai City collector's office, had boarded a CSMT-bound local from Cotton Green after finishing work there. The incident occurred as the train left Dockyard Road station. According to police, the two men boarded the moving train, confronted the officer, scuffled with him, snatched cash and his official identity card from his pocket, and then got off the train. The complainant also alighted the moving train while trying to stop them, but the duo allegedly used force and escaped with the stolen belongings. Meghraj later approached the Wadala Railway police, who registered an FIR against the unidentified accused. Police are scanning CCTV footage from railway stations to identify the suspects....
